About Akrapovič
The company was founded in 1990 in Ivančna Gorica, Slovenia, by former racer Igor Akrapovič. It started as the Skorpion motorcycle tuning shop, which built its own exhausts. In 1997 an Akrapovič exhaust won a World Superbike race for the first time, and the brand has since collected many world championship titles. In 2008 Akrapovič opened its own titanium foundry, so connectors, collectors and brackets are cast and machined in-house.
Akrapovic product lines
- Racing Line – full exhaust system (headers, link pipe and silencer) with a titanium or carbon-fibre (Carbon) silencer. Some systems are EC/ECE type approved for road use.
- Evolution Line – all-titanium system for the lowest weight, mainly for racing and motocross.
- Slip-On Line – silencer with link pipe that fits the stock headers.

Frequently asked questions
Is an Akrapovic exhaust road legal?
Only if the system has EC/ECE type approval (an E-mark on the silencer) and is fitted with the dB killer in place. Some Racing Line systems are approved for road use, while Evolution Line and motocross systems are usually for track use only.

What is the difference between Racing Line and Evolution Line?
Racing Line is a full exhaust system with a titanium or carbon-fibre silencer, road-approved for some models. Evolution Line is an all-titanium system that is lighter still and is mainly meant for racing and motocross.
Do I need to remap the ECU after fitting an Akrapovic?
Usually not for a Slip-On. For full systems (Racing Line, Evolution Line) a fuelling adjustment – an ECU remap or the software Akrapovič recommends – is advised on many models to get the full power gain and smooth running. The manufacturer states the recommendation for each model.
How do I choose the right system for my bike?
Use the "Fitment" filter on the category page: pick the make, model and model year. Akrapovič builds systems for a specific model generation – the Yamaha MT-09, for example, has different systems for up to 2020 and from 2021.

Can I fit an Akrapovic system myself?
A Slip-On can be fitted with basic tools. A full system also replaces the headers, so we recommend having it fitted by a workshop. All brackets and fitting instructions are included.
How can I tell a genuine Akrapovic?
A genuine Akrapovič system has an engraved logo and serial number, clean welds and the manufacturer's packaging with documentation. If in doubt about a system's origin, check the serial number with the manufacturer or contact us.
How fast is delivery?
Systems in stock are delivered in 1–3 working days by DPD to your door or to a DPD Pickup point or parcel locker anywhere in the Baltics. If a product has a different lead time, it is shown on the product page.

What is the warranty and can I return the item?
Consumers get a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. When buying online you have a 14-day right of withdrawal – the exhaust must be unfitted, unused and in its original packaging.
